PTD 000127.01 – Transmission Oil Pressure Too Low

PTD 000127.01 (PTD 127.01)

Code: 000127.01

Shortcode: 127.01

Description:

This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is generated when the control software detects that the transmission oil pressure is below the acceptable threshold. Specifically, an oil pressure of less than 10 bar (1000 kPa; 145 psi) is measured when the transmission oil temperature is above 28 °C (82 °F) and the engine speed is above 800 rpm. This issue can be caused by leakage in the transmission, a restricted or faulty pressure regulating valve, or a faulty transmission oil pressure sensor.

Reaction:

When this error is detected, the control software may limit or completely disable the transmission functions to prevent further damage.

Recommendations:

Inspect for Leaks:

  • Check the transmission for any visible signs of oil leaks.
  • Repair or replace any components that are leaking.

Pressure Regulating Valve:

  • Inspect the pressure regulating valve for restrictions or malfunctions.
  • Clean or replace the valve if necessary.

Transmission Oil Pressure Sensor:

  • Test the transmission oil pressure sensor to ensure it is functioning correctly.
  • Replace the sensor if it is found to be faulty.

Hydraulic System Inspection:

  • Verify that the hydraulic system is free from blockages and that all connections are secure.

Consult Technical Support:

  • If the issue persists, consult technical support or a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.

Monitor System:

  • After performing repairs, monitor the transmission oil pressure to ensure it remains within the specified range during operation.

Note:

Regular maintenance and inspection of the transmission system can help prevent pressure-related issues. Ensure that the transmission oil is changed as per the manufacturer’s recommendations and that the system is free from contaminants.
